Upon entering the reception it was the smell that hit me – yes the Nobu smell!
There are 2 desks for registration/checkout which I have been told will be replaced with a large desk for more space later this year.  The staff were very professional, welcoming and had the biggest smiles.  The hotel was full when I visited but I was lucky enough to be shown around the one suite at the hotel which is on two levels and has a small terrace which opens out onto the square and a beautiful view of the churches and roof tops.
Each room is in the same muted colour scheme with sharp clean edges of the wood and furniture to the rich coloured feature walls.  Bedrooms each have a queen size bed with high count bed linen and all the amenities available you would expect with this 5* hotel.  The transparent wall in the bathroom with the light bulbs hanging down to the floor below was spectacular. Everything had a place from the dressing gowns and slippers hanging side by side to  the box containing the designer toiletries and the tissue box in the shape of a fan – perfection.
The hotel has one restaurant which serves the signature Nobu dishes but at lunch they try to add an Andalusian twist and I tried Black Cod Croquettes which were amazing.  There is a lounge and well stocked bar just off the restaurant and also two private dining/conference rooms which can be hired.  As with the EME hotel, Nobu also made use of the historic old city wall they found whilst renovation and made this into a feature for their visitors which adds to the ambiance of the hotel mixing old with new.
They have a roof terrace with bar for chilled drinks and snacks.  Up another level is the plunge pool with views over the rooftops and cathedral perfect to cool down and unwind from a long day of sightseeing and sun.
If you travel around the world and stay at Nobu then yes you need to stay here.  If you have never been to a Nobu hotel then I would recommend this one as very central and very good value and could not be more helpful.
