After a decade in the making, the historic Palace of Justice in Amsterdam is set to welcome a new era as Rosewood Amsterdam prepares to open its doors in June 2025. This marks the brand’s debut in the Netherlands, bringing a new level of purpose-led luxury to the city.

Built in 1665 and located on the UNESCO World Heritage-listed canals, the property will embrace circular hospitality and collaborate with local partners to offer an extensive range of high-end amenities. The interiors, designed by Studio Piet Boon, honour the building’s heritage while incorporating modern Dutch craftsmanship, blending historic grandeur with contemporary sophistication.

Guests can look forward to 134 elegantly designed guest rooms and suites, including five signature suites with views of the picturesque canals, peaceful courtyards, and classic townhouse rooftops. The hotel will feature three distinctive restaurants and bars, an in-house distillery, and a private Salon Boat for scenic canal travel.

Rosewood Amsterdam will embody the Dutch concept of gezelligheid, creating a welcoming and cosy atmosphere throughout its venues. The property will also offer a grand 223-square-metre ballroom, an Asaya Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and an indoor swimming pool.

Through thoughtfully curated experiences, guests will connect with the essence of Amsterdam’s past, present, and future, making Rosewood Amsterdam a total work of art in service, comfort, art, cultural programming, retail, and design. This debut marks a significant milestone for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as it continues its legacy of curating unique and culturally enriching stays around the world.
