Rex Airlines, along with several of its subsidiaries, today announced it has entered into voluntary administration.
Samuel Freeman, Justin Walsh, and Adam Nikitins from Ernst & Young Australia have been appointed as the joint and several voluntary administrators by the Rex Group’s Board of Directors.
The administration does not affect regional Saab 340 flights, which will continue to operate, and prepaid tickets for these routes will still be honoured.
However, all domestic 737-800 services have been suspended, and Virgin Australia is offering to honour all prepaid tickets or rebook at no additional cost for those passengers affected.
Rex will be contacting direct all customers impacted by these changes.
