With a significantly expanded portfolio and renewed focus on business travel, Spring Hotels is reintroducing itself as the go-to MICE destination in Tenerife
Already a reference point for congresses, conferences and cultural events in Tenerife, Spring Hotels is reaffirming its position as the island’s leading MICE destination, combining best-in-class venues with unbeatable beachside settings and expert event support.
With more than 2,300 rooms across its portfolio, 22 versatile event halls, and over 1,200m2 of exhibition space, the group offers everything from intimate strategy days to large-scale conferences and shows. Its July 2025 acquisition of three further properties from Mare Nostrum Resort added more than 1,000 guest rooms, and a dedicated MICE centre with capacity for up to 1,600 delegates at the Pirámide de Arona – the largest auditorium in the south of the island.
The expansion also brought iconic venues like the Congress Hall Piramide de Arona, Hard Rock Café, and Palapa Beach Club into the Spring Hotels collection, opening up a unique mix of indoor and outdoor spaces for events, exhibitions, and entertainment.
“This acquisition has given us the scale, setting, and flexibility to compete at the highest level in MICE,” says Elisabetta Zarini, Contract & Events Manager. “We are thrilled to start new projects and create exceptional experiences, thanks to our expert team, who is undoubtedly the greatest added value we have”.
That team includes a dedicated group of MICE professionals who manage everything from technical support to tailored menus, created to elevate everything from a working lunch to a gala dinner. The offering builds on previous investments in the sector, including the recently refurbished Fasnia Room at Arona Gran Hotel, a 94m2, tech-enabled space ideal for creative workshops and mid-size events.
“Clients want more than a functional venue,” adds Zarini. “They want places that lift the
mood, support fresh thinking, and help people connect. That’s exactly what we offer.”
The Congress Hall has already hosted major industry gatherings such as the TURESPAÑA Convention, and is home to the weekly HISTORY The Show alongside a wider programme of live performances and venue rentals for cultural events, comedy nights, and concerts – giving delegates the opportunity to combine business with memorable entertainment.
With five-star suites, rooftop pools, tennis courts, a Wellness Centre, and direct access to El Camisón Beach, the experience at Mare Nostrum Resort doesn’t end when the meetings do. The resort’s location, just 16 km from Tenerife South Airport and steps away from the lively Golden Mile, makes it as practical as it is picturesque.
Building on Mare Nostrum Resort’s long-standing reputation as a benchmark for hosting congresses and events in Tenerife, the recent merger positions Spring Hotels as a leading force on the island for managing major national and international conferences.
Paired with Tenerife’s pleasant year-round climate and a wealth of sights, experiences, and outdoor activities that add a boost of leisure and fitness to busy work and networking schedules, Spring Hotels offers the perfect blend of logistics and lifestyle. This combination creates memorable events that attendees are genuinely excited to join – from high-level business conferences to activity-rich retreats.
