Leonardo Hotels will take over the traditional Hotel Badischer Hof in Baden-Baden under the terms of a lease agreement which will enter into force on 1 May 2025.

The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive programme of renovations prior to joining the exclusive Leonardo Limited Edition brand, a carefully curated collection of individually styled hotels, each of which boasts a separate character and a stand-alone design.

The group has maintained a presence in the town since 2013 in the shape of the Leonardo Royal Baden-Baden, which received its own full upgrade last year. The Badischer Hof will thus represent Leonardo Hotels’ second venture in Baden-Baden and is also set to be the fourth Leonardo Limited Edition in the German-speaking countries alongside the Hotel Alden Splügenschloss Zürich, The Nikolai in Hamburg and the Mannheimer Hof. The Leonardo Limited Edition portfolio also incorporates iconic international hotels such as The Dilly in London, the Grand in Brighton and The Midland in Manchester.

“The Badischer Hof is a really special new addition for Leonardo Hotels,” stated Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe. “This is a historic Grand Hotel which offers a perfect match for our Leonardo Limited Edition. We are looking forward to breathing new life into the hotel and are keen to welcome our first guests in the very near future. This is an important milestone in the further development of the Limited Edition brand in Europe.”

The historic Badischer Hof was originally a  Capuchin monastery, which was converted in the early 19th century to create the first luxury hotel in Baden-Baden and the first Palace Hotel in Germany. Behind its classical façade, guests will find 153 stylish rooms and suites, an impressive hall, a bar and an elegant restaurant complete with a generously proportioned outdoor terrace. The hotel is surrounded by extensive gardens and also offers four well-equipped Board Rooms for discreet meetings or private dinners.

One particular highlight is the large spa facility, which contains various saunas, a saltwater room, gym and relaxation areas and three treatment rooms. Guests can swim in thermal waters in both the indoor and outdoor pools. Even by the standards of Baden-Baden, this is a truly exclusive experience.

The interior designer Andreas Neudahm, whose style has already left its mark on numerous Leonardo Hotels, will take charge of the layout of the public areas, spa and rooms.
