The romance of southern Italy has arrived in the City of London as Amalfi Ristorante opens its new flagship restaurant just steps from St Paul’s Cathedral, blending Riviera style with metropolitan sophistication.
The grand new venue, located in the shadow of Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, marks a defining moment for the fast-growing restaurant group. With seating for 170 guests and a private dining room for exclusive gatherings, Amalfi St Paul’s has been designed as a versatile haven for business breakfasts, client lunches, romantic dinners and celebratory evenings alike.
From the moment guests enter, they are immersed in the sun-drenched sophistication of the Amalfi Coast. The restaurant features marble mosaic floors, deep banquettes, and a sweeping marble bar showcasing a curated collection of premium wines and rare spirits.
The design strikes a balance between classic Italian elegance and modern London luxury, while views of St Paul’s lend every occasion a touch of grandeur.
“St Paul’s is one of London’s most iconic and historic locations, and we wanted to create a restaurant worthy of its surroundings,” said an Amalfi Ristorante spokesperson. “From the marble floors to the lobster pasta and the first sip of Della Vite Prosecco, every detail has been designed to make dining here feel like a special occasion.”
A menu that celebrates la dolce vita
The menu is a love letter to the cuisine of Italy’s coast, led by handmade pasta, stone-baked sourdough pizzas, and refined seafood and steak dishes. Signature plates include fresh oysters and lobster pasta, which has already become the defining dish of the Amalfi dining experience.
Each dish embodies the restaurant’s culinary philosophy — authentic Italian craftsmanship fused with contemporary finesse. The result is a dining experience that celebrates conviviality, indulgence, and the sensory pleasure of food.
The wine list features a carefully curated selection of Italian vintages and standout bottles from renowned international producers. The cocktail programme captures the essence of the Italian aperitivo, featuring classic spritzes and Campari-led signatures designed to evoke the dolce vita.
To elevate its launch, Amalfi has partnered with Della Vite Prosecco, the luxury sparkling wine label founded by Cara, Poppy and Chloe Delevingne. The collaboration will headline the restaurant’s exclusive opening event on 14 October, where guests will toast the occasion to the sounds of a live DJ.
From opening night onwards, diners booking through Amalfi’s official website will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of Della Vite Prosecco, ensuring every visit begins in true Riviera style.
With its extraordinary location, opulent interiors, and a menu that bridges tradition and innovation, Amalfi St Paul’s promises to become a new landmark in London’s luxury dining scene.
Marrying the glamour of the Italian Riviera with the cultural grandeur of the City, it captures a rare combination of timeless hospitality and contemporary elegance — a celebration of Italy’s coastal spirit at the very heart of London.
