As one of the Southeast’s most beloved travel destinations, Myrtle Beach is gearing up for an exciting new year filled with unforgettable new and expanded experiences, alongside its iconic offerings that continue to draw visitors to its golden shores from across the nation.

With over 60 miles of stunning beaches and 14 unique communities, the Grand Strand promises memorable adventures around every corner for travellers of all ages this year.

Highlights and new experiences to delight visitors at The Beach this year include:

Events & Attractions

  • ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic – The PGA TOUR’s ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic returns for its second year May 8-11 with enhanced experiences for players and fans alike. Co-sponsored by Visit Myrtle Beach and ONEflight International, this exciting tournament is held at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club, a championship golf course renowned for its majestic scenery along the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Carolina Country Music Festival – Returning to Myrtle Beach for its 10th anniversary, the Carolina Country Music Festival (June 6-9) promises a beachside event like no other. With headliners including Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson, thousands of country fans will be heading to The Grand Strand for the ultimate musical experience.
  • Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre – Opened last year in North Myrtle Beach, the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre is a dynamic and nostalgic entertainment experience, showcasing top-tier singers and musicians in a family-friendly setting. The exclusive VIP experience includes backstage tours with veteran local performer Greg Rowles himself, where guests can enjoy additional songs and personal stories not included in the main show.
  • Brookgreen Gardens –
    • New Simpson Art Center: The Simpson Art Center includes a state-of-the-art studio and sculpture conservation lab where guests will interact with nationally recognized sculptors and contemporary artists and accommodate a wider variety of classes and public programs. Spanning approximately 4,000 square feet, the new studio will support diverse media, including clay, wax, plaster, resin, 3D printing and direct stone carving.
    • With work inspired by the natural world, Craig Mitchell Smith’s Gardens of Glass exhibit (May through August) will transform Brookgreen Gardens into a radiant spectacle of light, color and artistry.
  • Conway Riverwalk – The newly completed addition to the Conway Riverwalk seamlessly connects the Riverfront and Main Street and features new walkways, fixed decks, floating docks and a section over the railroad that enhances pedestrian access.
  • The PicklePort – Opening in 2026 near the Myrtle Beach International Airport, The PicklePort is slated to be Myrtle Beach’s premier pickleball facility, offering 12 climate-controlled indoor courts and six covered outdoor courts. The six-acre facility will also feature a guest reception area, snack bar, pro shop, instruction and practice areas and social gathering/court viewing spaces.

Food & Drink

  • Cape Fear Seafood Company – For more than a decade, Cape Fear Seafood Company has been crafting award-winning seafood experiences. Their newest location in North Myrtle Beach offers locally sourced seafood (including shrimp, fish, scallops, crab, mussels and clams) bursting with Southern flavour.
  • Flavor Hills Restaurant & Bar – Located oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, Flavor Hills offers a modern Southern dining experience with stunning views, The menu features local dishes and fresh seafood specialties along with fan favorites like Bang Bang Shrimp, Catfish & Grits and Bourbon Peach Cobbler. Guests can also enjoy an extensive selection of craft cocktails.
  • Barn View Winery – Discover the perfect blend of nature, relaxation, and European-style wines at Barn View Winery on a picturesque 75-acre estate in Loris, S.C. Offering an array of wine created by Barn View and live music on Saturdays, the area’s newest winery is the perfect place to relax and unwind in a peaceful setting.
  • Palmetto Taps – The area’s first self-serve taproom, Palmetto Taps in Conway offers a variety of over 40 craft beers, hard ciders and seltzers, along with additional selections of wine and other beers available behind the bar. Guests can also enjoy an on-site boutique offering various local gifts and artisanal items.
  • Boteco VIP – Opened in October 2024 in downtown Myrtle Beach, Boteco VIP brings an authentic Brazilian dining experience to the heart of the city. Inspired by traditional botecos, it offers bold flavors, handcrafted cocktails and live entertainment in a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Guy Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown – Set to open later this year at Myrtle Beach Mall, Downtown Flavortown is a chef-focused restaurant and family entertainment center that will offer an extensive food menu, craft cocktails, a Tiki bar, bowling and an array of gaming options.
  • Ole Smoky Distillery & Yee-Haw Brewing Co. – Opening in spring 2026 at Broadway at the Beach, Ole Smoky Distillery, one of the nation’s fastest-growing spirits companies and Yee-Haw Brewing Co., known for its high-quality craft beers made in the Southeast, will bring their popular distillery and brewery experience to Myrtle Beach. The venue will feature a beer garden, full-service distillery, tasting rooms, guided tours, food and beverage offerings and event spaces designed to host concerts, festivals and private events.

Lodging & Transportation

  • The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry by Hilton & DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront – Opened last summer, this dual-brand concept property offers a variety of accommodations and amenities, including six indoor and outdoor pools and three waterslides. Guests can enjoy direct beach access and proximity to the Springmaid Pier, mini-golf and sports courts, spacious communal areas, two on-site restaurants, on-site fishing and a gift shop.
  • voco™ The Shelby Myrtle Beach – Opening in Spring 2025, voco™ The Shelby Myrtle Beach will feature sleek guestrooms and suites with iconic views of the ocean, direct beach access, an outdoor swimming pool with a lazy river, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and on-site dining options at The Shelby Beach Club and The Palm and Pebble.
  • Myrtle Beach International Airport Expansion and Flight Routes – In June 2024, Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) began construction on a major terminal expansion project, set to open in late 2025. This project will add six gates to Concourse A and include updates to flooring, signage, restrooms and new food, beverage, and retail options. A new long-term economy parking lot will also add more than 1,200 parking spaces. Meanwhile, several new year-round nonstop flights have been introduced, expanding service to Myrtle Beach from over 50 destinations. More information can be found here.
