Swissport has launched its first Aspire Executive Lounge in Italy, introducing a new premium hospitality concept at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE).

Located on the second floor above check-in counters 28–48, the lounge is open to all passengers, including those arriving or not flying—making it a versatile space for business meetings, remote work, or simply unwinding in style.

The lounge is part of a nine-month pilot programme, designed to meet rising demand for elevated airport experiences in Italy. With seating for 73 guests across 330 square meters, the space blends Italian elegance with Swiss precision, offering a calm, contemporary environment that caters to both leisure and business travellers.

Food and drink offering

• Guests can enjoy a curated selection of Italian cuisine and local specialties, crafted in partnership with regional caterers.
• Complimentary snacks and beverages are available throughout the day, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
• A self-service bar offers a range of wines, soft drinks, and espresso-based options, reflecting Venice’s culinary heritage.

Business amenities

• The lounge features a quiet business centre with high-speed WiFi and comfortable workstations.
• Private meeting rooms are available for rent, ideal for focused discussions or pre-flight briefings.
• Fast-track security access is included for passengers flying to destinations outside the U.S., ensuring a smooth transition to departure gates.

David Collyer, Global SVP of Executive Lounges at Swissport, commented: “We’re proud to bring Aspire’s signature hospitality to Venice. This lounge is designed to offer a seamless experience—whether guests are preparing for a flight, arriving from one, or simply seeking a refined space to work or relax.”

As Review & Destination Editor of Travelling for Business, I had the opportunity to be one of the first to experience the new Aspire Lounge at VCE. It’s a clear step forward in airport hospitality with thoughtful design and genuine comfort. Compared to many traditional lounges, it’s a breath of fresh air: quiet, well-appointed, and refreshingly inclusive.

Access rules

Entry to the Aspire Executive Lounge is available to:

• All passengers, regardless of airline or ticket class
• Travellers arriving at VCE or visiting the airport for meetings
• Guests purchasing day passes or accessing via lounge membership programmes

The launch reflects a broader shift in airport services—toward flexibility, wellness, and design-led spaces that cater to the evolving needs of modern travellers. With REYA Communications now representing Swissport in the U.S., the Aspire brand is poised to connect with a global audience of business travellers who value experience, efficiency, and elegance.

Whether you’re flying in for a meeting or out on a long-haul journey, the new Aspire Lounge in Venice offers a refined pause – where Italian hospitality meets international standards.
